How To Enable Multitasking On Any Android

Android still doesn’t offer proper multitasking feature, but you can still get it with a third party tweak. All you need is root access of your android phone. You can also use the feature on non-rooted devices by using a simple app, which I have mentioned at the last part of my writing. But the non rooted app doesn’t give you full access and so I prefer to use the rooted app, which is mentioned below-

Install the Xposed Framework

If you have customized your boring android to give any type of look you want then you should be familiar to the app Xposed Framework. Those who don’t know about this, Its a rooted app, which provides a platform you can instrall various tweaks to your smartphone. And can add a lot of features to your Device.

XMultiWindow Module

After instralling Xposed Framework, you have to download a module, which is XMultiWindow. You can use the search option of the Xposed Module app to find this module. After downloading the module, enable it and then reboot your device. Follow the screenshots for no error.

NOw after the Reboot, open the XMultiWindow app on your phone. Tap Slidebar Settings in the app, tab Sidebar app Settings, and use the ADD button on top to add the apps which you want to use on the multitasking. The selected apps will show as a list below.

Launch Split-Screen Apps From the Sidebar

Now tap the open Sidebar option inside the XMultiWindow app to launch the sidebar, and then swipe in from the left side of your screen. The sidebar will appear, and now to start your multitasking, select any of the app from the side bar and long press it and drag it downwards (if in Horizontal Mode) and apply the same thing to another app and drag it upwards. If you are using your mobile in Landscape Mode then long press any of the app and you should drag it left or right. The Picture given below is the multi tasking in Landscape Mode.

Multi Tasking For Non-Rooted Device:-

As I have told earlier that you can also use the multitasking feature on any Non Rooted device, So for that you need to go to Google Play Store and download an app called “Floating Apps Free-multitask”. By using that app you can easily add 3 to 4 windows and can enjoy your multitasking. But there are some restriction in that app, there are some limited apps which you can add to your multitasking feature.
